Architecture LINK 2.0 Internship
Everything About My Internship
What Is LINK?:
At Animas, LINK internships don't just happen as juniors. An optional program called LINK 2.0 is offered for seniors who have already completed their first LINK and would like to do another. Similar to junior LINK the field you intern in is usually related to what you want to pursue after high school. The minimum hours to receive credit on your transcript for this internship is 60 hours, which can be gathered throughout a full semester. The student also needs to
create some final product to show that they accomplished something during their internship time.
This internship took place at S/G Architect (Steve Gates Architect) in Durango Colorado.

Below is some of the work I did interning at this firm.
My LINK Project
Project Description:
For this project, I learned how to build a scale model of a 2 bedroom 1 bath house out of cardboard. To do this I used a scaled 3D model of the house from SketchUp that was already constructed. The scale for this was that every 1/4in equaled 1ft. This project took me several weeks to complete and the final product isn't perfect but I'm pretty happy with it considering that it's my first scale model.

During my internship, I also learned some basic skills on the 3D graphing software called SketchUp.

Below is the progression of this house from early on in the project to the final with its cute little Yarrow flower trees/bushes.
